As February rolls around New Year’s resolutions are often forgotten and left behind, but here at SunLife we think there are a few that you should definitely think about keeping!
Don’t cancel your appointments! – Sometimes if you’re not feeling too hot or maybe you’ve got a lot on your plate, it just seems easier to cancel on your doctor or nurse. However, seeing your doctor/nurse should ALWAYS be a priority. If you’re not feeling well, this is the best time to see your doctor anyway! You can get some help and you’ll be feeling better in no time!
Eat Healthy! – Holiday goodies are not an excuse anymore, but after months of pies, turkey, and family, it can be hard to get back into a healthy diet. Don’t give up. Eating healthy doesn’t mean giving up everything you love, it just means being smart about how much and how often you eat it.
Communicate! – Talk to your family, your nurse, your doctor about what YOU want. Nobody will be able to guess and if you are open about your wants and needs, people will be more willing to help you out.
Smile! – Smile every day. Researchers say that even if you’re feeling down, a smile can make you feel better. So go ahead, show those pearly whites.
